Thank you for your interest in working with us. Unfortunately at this time we have no current openings. Please look at our volunteer opportunities below if you'd like to get involved in the organization.
Salt City Harvest Farm welcomes the public to the farm during public events, our 3rd Saturday of the Month volunteer workdays, and through private group tours and workdays. At SCHF we strive to grow more than only food. We are committed to growing culture and community as well! The community at SCHF includes a rich cultural diversity of people from all over the world. We strive to connect people of all ages and backgrounds to new foods, cultures, and plants.
3rd Saturdays of the Month Volunteer Days
- April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20, September 17, October 15
Every 3rd Saturday of the month (April - October) we invite the public to the farm to help us in the fields. 3rd Saturday volunteer days run from 10am - 2pm. Volunteers help us plant, weed, and distribute produce. Volunteers have also helped us paint our pavilion, prune our orchard, and mulch our rhubarb. Most farm tasks include lifting, squatting, bending, lots of walking, and spending the day outside. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather and work. There's a good chance you'll get dirty!
We recommend you bring the following gear when volunteering with SCHF:
- Water bottle
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
- Sturdy shoes
If you’re interested in becoming a more regular volunteer with us (beyond the 3rd Saturdays) or would like to set up a private workday with your organization, please fill out the form below. We also welcome volunteers who have experience in event planning, serving on committees, marketing, and volunteer coordination.
